Well I have limited time on the internet at night now so I'll make this very brief.
I had vague plans to meet my sister (not meet up with, MEET) at the local ren fest this Oct/Nov. I was going to go with my friend T, and my friend C can't afford it this year.
Then I totaled my 2000 Honda CR-V.
I'm fine, everyone's fine. Oh and I totaled the other car too apparently. Sorry Camry.
One claimed injuries later, I call BS. I was sore the next day too, but that was it. If I caused any serious injury it would have been immediately obvious. I even sat down beside the person and they said they were fine. Multiple times, because I kept asking to make sure they were fine.
Still in the process of getting that mess sorted out, it'll be a while.
So now T would HAVE to drive us there. I can pay for the tix, that's no problem. Only thing is T is everywhere doing everything. I thought we might get to go this weekend, then a friend of her's got her game tickets so that's where she went.
Now this upcoming weekend is the last one to go, I have no car and T's schedule is such that she wouldn't know if she could go until a few days ahead of time. To top it all off, my aunt has decided she might do Thanksgiving that Saturday the 17th. The last day of the renfest is the 18th. Joy. It's not looking good. Damn it.
There's no telling when my aunt will let us know. I often don't know jack shit till the day before or the day OF. I have no idea if T is free that Sunday either....
Son of a dammit!
In good news we may have found a new(er) car. A 2006 Rav4. Apparently the owner is the wife of a cousin (or some such) of my aunt's deceased husband. Divine intervention? IDK, but it's small(ish) town, so probably just coincidence.
My grandparents (who are paying for it) seem dead-set on the Rav. The other option was a 2002 CR-V.
My Gran told me we'd be working on Sunday. I took that to mean this coming Sunday. She meant NEXT Sunday - the LAST day of the ren fest. It's not feasible to go tomorrow (as I type this it's Saturday night). I can't just send my sister message saying "Hey guess what next weekend's no good for me, think your friends can bring you over (from a totally different state)?" Yeah, no. So unless my Aunt moves Thanksgiving dinner to another date. I won't be meeting my sister this year.
I can't win.
