Kaylee Frye

Messing with an idea for cosplay. Kaylee Frye of Joss Whedon's Firefly/Serenity. Obviously I'm not responsible for the photo of Jewel Staite? as Kaylee, that's the Wheedonverse, lol, not me.

I'm going to the RenFest soon and I'm going during the scifi / literary week. I don't have the money to get a new costume nor the sewing skills... scratch that. I have NO sewing skills. Sooo, I need to work with what I have (unless Goodwill has something I can use).

That said: I just threw on this oooold two piece outfit I haven't worn in forever. Truth be told I'm not too crazy about the zip up vest and mom pants combo, but it's the closest thing I have to Kaylee's jumpsuits. Seriously, those are mom pants. They come up to my waist (not hips where jeans today go), and they have pleats right there on my tummy pooch. I'm gonna need a super reinforced girdle to go in public with those britches and I don't think I need to lose weight if that tells you anything. Um yeah.
Oh and I do have boots, I just didn't wanna wear them just to snap a photo, and yeah my hair is a bit too long, but meh.

Um... I guess that's it.
